Tomdoun Sporting Lodge

A Highland Retreat 7 miles from Invergarry; Formally a Victorian Hunting Lodge dating from 1895 and retaining its original charm with no televisions, or telephones in the comfortable bedrooms;
The Lodge is 3 to 3 and a half hours drive from Edinburgh/ Glasgow airports;
A remote Highland hotel surrounded by unspoilt countryside: Sightseeing in the area can include Eilean Donan Castle, The Isle of Skye, Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal;
The hotel is well known for its cuisine from the Highland larder serving the finest Highland meat, game, fish and seafood;; Fine wines and over 100 Malt Whiskies are stocked in the Bar;

STALKING

The Tomdoun Sporting Lodge is situated in Glengarry and is neighbour to some of the finest Scottish Highland estates that offer both red and roe deer stalking. The majority of Stalking is on open countryside, and one nearby estate includes woodland Stalking;
Grouse, Pheasant, Woodcock, Goose and Duck shooting is also available

FISHING

Over 25,000 acres of water spanning 4 lochs and 3 and a half miles of the River Garry; Fishing can include, Brown Trout, Artic Char, Pike and large Ferox Trout; One boat is fitted with trawling rods incorporating a down rigger which can be sunk to a depth of 400 feet; Salmon fishing is also available, although since the damming of the system by the Scottish Hydro in the 1950s, the resulting changes mean that Salmon numbers have decreased drastically.
