Local sightseeing
Kirriemuir is the birthplace of world famous author Sir James Barrie of 'Peter Pan' fame. Visit his birthplace, and Camera Obscura, his gift to the people of Kirriemuir. Admire Peter's statue in the square.
4 miles away is magnificent Glamis Castle, one of Scotland's premier visitor attractions. Glamis village also houses the Angus Folk museum. The Glens provide an abundance of castles, ruins, stately homes and monuments to history. - notable are the castles at Edzell and Cortachy.
