This is a dual purpose box, you can use it for fixing ONTO A FENCE/ GATE/ WALL and have your mail entered and delivered from the same side (see image top right) OR, you can fix it BEHIND A GATE OR FENCE (see image below) where you want the mail to be deposited from one side and you collect if from the other side -saves you going out of your gate to collect the mail-provided your gate of fence is not too high (the person delivering the mail has to be able to reach across and lift the top lid!) this is an ideal situation where you don't want anyone entering your premises to deliver mail (you have a dog for instance!) Provided your gate or fence is not too high you can also use the same box for metal gates or fences- the box is supplied with screws for fixing onto wood, it also comes with washers so that the box is not flush with the structure as it needs to be slighly forward to allow the top lid to open up without restriction - if you are fixing the box onto brick then you will need some masonary plugs, if fixing onto metal then you will need to use sutiable fixings to attach the box to the metal/ steel; (there are 4 pre drilled holes along the top edge of the box at the rear) If using the box for BEHIND A GATE OR FENCE, to avoid confusion we can supply the box with lettering on the lid facing the outward side where the mail will enter the box, to state, for instance 'POST BOX' ,

 Shown above is image of the Safepost 21 fixed onto a wooden gate, it has been fixed just above the level of the top of the gate so the mail is entered from he rear and collected from the other side; Lettering is purely optional; If you wish to use it as a front delivery rear retrieval box and you want lettering applied which is free of charge, then we would place the lettering on the top lid so that it faces to the rear; If you were using the box as a front delivery and front retrieval option and wanted lettering on the lid then it would face the front; , Letering shown here in white , clarendon font; We can also apply a green motif leaf shape, as shown above,
