The fire tubes are fire resistant and BS EN 13724 compliant.
It works by discharging the extinguishant directly from the burst hole in the
tubing; this will be the closest point to the fire and will allow the fastest
extinguishing time and minimum spread of the fire.
The tubing should be considered as a lineal heat or flame detector. When the
temperature is increased to above 120 degrees or is touched by a flame the
tube bursts putting the fire out at source.
The advantages are that it does not need any external energy or power supply
making it cost effective as no electrical installation or wiring is required.
